National Dog Day

August 26, 2017  •  Leave a Comment

Today is National Dog Day!!! National Dog Day celebrates all breeds, pure and mixed and serves to help galvanize the public to recognize the number of dogs that need to be rescued each year. National Dog Day honors family dogs and dogs that work selflessly to save lives, keep us safe and bring comfort and joy. Dogs also put their lives on the line every day when they’re partnered up with law enforcement, blind companion, disabled, or for our freedom and safety by detecting bombs and drugs and pulling victims of tragedy from wreckage.

Our dog, Bella helps us find new outdoor locations and often times helps our clients too. We hardly call that putting her life on the line like other dogs but she does help break the ice when kids of clients are uncomfortable at meeting a photographer for the first time. Most kids don't mind and have fun but some are shy and if their parents are okay with a furry friend helping them along, it does make the process easier.

Celebrating National Dog Day can be easy as giving your four-legged friend a big hug and kiss, if they like that sort of affection! You can even have a pet portrait done! You can even join in on the photo as well!

Our furbaby Bella has been an important part of the Almorinda Photography family. Kids love her when they see her in the studio and it seems to work out well when they're too shy in front of the camera. If you need photos done and need a smiling dog present, Bella will gladly come to the shoot (at no extra charge)! Bella is not present at any furbaby photo shoots though so your furbaby is the main focus.

Cheers, kisses and hugs to our furbaby, Bella!
