The leaf peeping and photo capturing adventure started mid-morning even though it was cool and wet outside. After passing Franconia Notch the rain stopped and the views were breathtaking. Tourists flooded the main roads as they parked alongside the highway to capture their own photos. A brief stop at the scenic view area parking lot across from Mount Washington Resort is always a must to capture a photo of the iconic 100+ year old hotel. While taking photos, two buses arrived each filled with tourists rushing to get out to capture a photo of the hotel as well.
The adventure continued north where a stop at the Crawford Notch train station was a must to capture a few photos of the Conway Scenic Railroad’s afternoon train before departure. The day’s light faded as the cover slid over the lens just as the sun slid below the horizon. The end.
